Xycarb Ceramics – Pure Excellence

1981 Xycarb Ceramics was established as a 50/50 joint venture between Indivers and Ultra Carbon in Helmond.

1986 Xycarb became a 100% subsidiary of Indivers when Ultra Carbon was taken over by Stackpole. Within Indivers, the division Industrial Applications consisted of Xycarb, Alectro and LGH.

1988 The division Industrial Applications became independant as Intech Technology N.V.

1990 Intech Technology focussed their expertise by splitting into two groups: Intech EDM Group and Intech Ceramic Group (Xycarb and LHG). In 1992, the traditional glass-making part of LHG was sold to Mr. T. Louwers. The semiconductor activities were incorporated into Xycarb B.V. and presented as Xycarb Ceramics.

1996 Schunk GmnH became 100% shareholder of Xycarb Ceramics B.V. in 1996. With the integration of Xycarb Ceramics within the Schunk Group, Xycarb Ceramics became the organisation in charge of all semiconductor front-end activities of Schunk. That year the graphite products produced by Schunk in Milwaukee (USA) were integrated to the product portfolio of Xycarb Ceramics.

1997 Xycarb Ceramics expanded activities with the establishment of Xycarb Ceramics in Georgetown (USA).

2008 Xycarb Ceramics expanded its activities by the establishment of its subsidiary in Singapore
